I have worked primarily in the not-for-profit sector. My career has turned around two central themes: creative problem-solving and communication.

Currently, I am working as a freelance writer, editor and researcher. Much of my time is now invested in a new platform for in-depth interviews called High Profiles.

In the past, I have handled:

• fundraising for one of the world’s greatest modern dance companies

• marketing and fundraising for one of its finest (but anything but modern) art galleries

• programming and press (as well as marketing and fundraising) for a new arts centre whose quality and reputation alike were down to me

• editing and subbing a current-affairs magazine described as ‘professional, imaginative, unafraid [and] irreplaceable’

• writing, broadcasting and interviewing
