Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

In September 2005, my friend Neil Warren and I took eight travellers on a 14-day tour of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. We saw the endless steppe, vast lakes and ‘celestial’ mountains and stayed in local family homes and a rusting space observatory. In all, we covered 2,000 kilometres by road, as well as flying from the south of Kazakhstan to the north and returning in a luxurious train. Two of the party said they ‘wouldn’t have missed the trip for the world’.

I’ve also organised four trips to Ecuador and two to Borneo.
